“Borrow Wisely” Campaign launch countdown: 12 days to go!

On 1 October 2014, 12 MFC members are launching the international “Borrow Wisely!” Campaign across 9 countries in Europe and Central Asia.  Our aim is to educate thousands of existing and potential microfinance clients on how take on safe and responsible levels of debt. 

How will we achieve our ambitious aim? Here’s some numbers:

·         678 field staff ready to promote Campaign messages

·         1966 posters displayed

MFC and 12 leading MFIs launch historic “Borrow Wisely” Campaign

In October 2014, the MFC and 12 leading members are launching a historic and coordinated campaign across 9 countries in the ECA region. Our aim? To improve our clients’ financial literacy levels.

Campaign partners will be using posters, leaflets and brochures to communicate the importance of borrowing wisely. We’ve also developed a simple checklist of questions that clients should ask themselves before taking out a new loan to ensure that old and new clients alike only take on safe and responsible levels of debt.

IMON CEO takes top spot on Credit Bureau board

In August of this year the First Deputy Director General of MDO "IMON INTERNATIONAL" Gulbahor Mahkamova was elected as a chairman of the Board of Directors at Bureau of Credit Histories "Credit-Information Bureau of Tajikistan" (LLC BCH CIBT).
