Policy Forum

Since the first event in 2001, the Krakow Forum on Policy, Law and Regulation for Inclusive Finance has become recognized as an important regional meting to share learning and support efforts to improve the policy, legal and regulatory environment for financial service providers serving low income citizens and entrepreneurs, and has helped to shape policy reform in countries throughout the region. The specific objective of the Forum is to provide a platform for policy decision makers from the region in order to:

  • Examine, discuss, and debate among peers strategic issues associated with inclusive finance in the current context, leaving participants with a better understanding of both the policy challenges and of the experiences of countries in the region in addressing these challenges;

  • Consider specific policies, laws, regulations and other measures that can contribute to inclusive finance in the participating countries, while also promoting financial stability and protection of low income people, drawing on both regional and international models.
