EU Financial Inclusion Helpdesk

Have a question about financial inclusion in the EU? Want to know more about EU financial instruments for microfinance programs? Looking for recent access to finance research initiatives? Are you curious to find out how the European Code of Conduct works? The MFC has answers for you!

The Microfinance Centre is proud to announce the launch of our new EU Help Desk. This help desk is a free resource for microfinance practitioners, researchers on access to finance issues, EU policy-makers and others interested in opportunities for improving access to finance for social enterprises, MSME entrepreneurs and vulnerable groups.

The EU Help Desk is designed to provide information on issues related to access to finance. We can help you learn more about:

  • Current EU policies, initiatives and support instruments (for example: EaSI, PROGRESS, JASMINE)
  • Country-level actors engaged in/supporting financial inclusion (including country level networks, technical assistance providers, researchers or think-tanks)
  • Potential linkages and alliances with access to finance actors in the EU
  • Existing capacity building programs for microfinance providers
  • Financial inclusion research initiatives
  • Access to finance policy issues and initiatives

Our team is here to provide you with general information and resources, to link you in with other organisations across the EU doing similar work, or propose innovative solutions to your policy or technical issue.

Our team’s expertise covers a broad range, including policy, research and capacity building issues.

EU Help Desk queries can be sent to We’ll respond to all queries by email within 48 hours. Where appropriate, we may also get in touch by skype or telephone call to discuss your issue.
