Debt management

The Debt management module helps low-income people to understand the benefits and risks related to borrowing, and teaches them responsible use of credit to avoid over-indebtedness

The Debt management module builds on the message of the Plan Your future curriculum about effectively managing household financial resources. In doing so, it develops and deepens clients' knowledge about safe borrowing.

The Debt management module is an 8-hour workshop that can be implemented over the course of four days. It is designed for groups of up to 20 clients, and uses an interactive methodology to communicate the basic features of loans, loan product comparison and repayment.
